Written by Joep Olthuis

If you don't have Microsoft Excel, you can still view, edit, and analyze property databases exported from AUTOPROP using Google Sheets, a free spreadsheet application available with a Google account.

Before You Begin

To use Google Sheets, you'll need a Google account.

If you don't already have one, create a free account and sign in before proceeding.

Step 1: Create and Export Your Database

Start by creating your property database in AUTOPROP.

Once you've selected properties and loaded the desired data:

  1. Open the Properties Table.

  2. Select Export to Excel (CSV).

  3. Click Go.

The file will be downloaded to your computer.

Depending on your browser settings, it may appear:

  • In your Downloads folder

  • At the bottom of your browser window

Step 2: Open Google Sheets

  1. Sign in to your Google account.

  2. Open Google Sheets.

  3. Create a Blank Spreadsheet.

Step 3: Import Your AUTOPROP Export

  1. Click File → Import.

  2. Select the Upload tab.

  3. Choose the CSV file you downloaded from AUTOPROP.

  4. Click Import Data.

Google Sheets will automatically create a spreadsheet using the exported property data.

Step 4: Work with Your Data

Once imported, you can use Google Sheets to:

  • Sort property records

  • Filter data

  • Create prospecting lists

  • Analyze property information

  • Share databases with colleagues

  • Save your work online

All exported AUTOPROP fields will be organized into separate columns for easy analysis.
