AUTOPROP and iBOMB can be used together to save, organize, and present development applications within a specific area.
This workflow is useful for market research, client presentations, development prospecting, and tracking redevelopment activity.
Step 1: Display Development Applications
Begin by displaying the development applications you want to analyze.
Open the Layers panel.
Expand Development.
Enable the appropriate development application layers.
Development applications will now appear on the map.
Step 2: Select the Related Properties
Select the properties associated with the development applications you want to present.
You can do this by:
Right-clicking individual properties, or
Using the map selection tools to select multiple properties at once
The selected properties will be highlighted on the map.
Step 3: Load Development Application Data
Open the Properties Table.
Click Load Data.
Ensure Development Applications is selected as one of the data sources.
Click Update.
The development application information will be loaded for the selected properties.
Step 4: Export to iBOMB
Once the data has finished loading:
Click Export to iBOMB.
Enter a project name.
Click Export.
Step 5: Open the Project in iBOMB
To launch iBOMB:
Click the Apps grid in the top-left corner.
Open iBOMB.
Within iBOMB:
Click Load Project.
Select the project you just exported.
The selected properties will now appear on the map.
Step 6: Review and Customize the Information
Click on any property to view its information bubble.
Depending on the available data, the bubble may contain:
Development application information
Links to municipal records
Property details
Edit Information Bubbles
If additional details need to be added:
Click the Edit (pencil) icon within the information bubble.
Copy and paste any relevant information from AUTOPROP into the bubble.
Save your changes.
This allows you to create more comprehensive development presentations.
Step 7: Customize the Display
Use Column Display to control which information appears in the property information bubbles.
You can:
Show specific data fields
Hide unnecessary information
Create cleaner client presentations
After making changes, update the view to apply your settings.
Step 8: Save and Share Your Project
Once your presentation is complete:
Save the Project
Click Save Project to preserve any changes you've made.
Important: Changes made in iBOMB will not be retained unless the project is saved.
Print or Export
Click Print or Export (KML/CSV) to:
Print a hard copy
Save the map as a PDF
Share the presentation electronically
The exported document will include whatever is currently visible on the map.
