AUTOPROP makes it easy to build targeted mailing lists and create professional address labels for direct mail campaigns.

Instead of relying on broad postal walks, you can quickly select specific properties, blocks, neighbourhoods, or strata buildings and export the information you need.

Step 1: Select Properties and Load Data

Begin by selecting the properties you would like to include in your mailing campaign.

Examples include:

  • Specific neighbourhoods

  • Individual blocks

  • Strata buildings

  • Targeted prospecting areas

Once your properties have been selected, load the data you would like to export and save the results as a spreadsheet.

For detailed instructions on selecting properties and loading data, refer to the Property Selection and Load Data tutorials.

Step 2: Create Avery Mailing Labels

After exporting your property data from AUTOPROP, you can use Avery's free online label designer to generate printable mailing labels.

Open the Avery Template Designer

  1. Enter your Avery product number (for example, 5160).

  2. Click Select.

  3. Click Start Designing.

If prompted, sign in to your Avery account or create one.

Step 3: Choose a Label Design

Select a template design.

For simple mailing labels, the Blank Design option works well.

Step 4: Import Your AUTOPROP Data

  1. Click Import Data.

  2. Click Import Data again.

  3. Select Browse for File.

  4. Upload the spreadsheet exported from AUTOPROP.

Step 5: Select Your Label Fields

Choose the information you want displayed on each label.

Common fields include:

  • Property Address

  • Owner Name

  • Mailing Address

  • City

  • Postal Code

Be sure to deselect the spreadsheet header row if prompted.

Click Next to continue.

Step 6: Arrange Your Label Layout

Drag the desired fields from Available Fields into the Arrange Fields area.

Once your layout is complete:

  1. Click Next.

  2. Review the preview.

  3. Click Finish.

Your mailing labels will now be populated with the imported data.

Step 7: Customize Your Labels

You can further customize:

  • Font styles

  • Text size

  • Alignment

  • Spacing

  • Label formatting

Use the Avery design tools to make any desired adjustments.

Step 8: Export and Print

When your labels are ready:

  1. Click the Preview & Print tab.

  2. Select Print Now.

  3. Choose Download PDF.

The PDF will be downloaded to your computer and can be printed directly onto your Avery label sheets.
