Written by Caitlyn Drybrough

AUTOPROP makes it easy to work with multiple properties at once. In this guide, you’ll learn how to:

  • Select multiple properties on the map

  • Load data for your selections

  • Export your results for further analysis

Selecting Multiple Properties

There are three main ways to select multiple properties in AUTOPROP:

1. Rectangle Selection Tool

Best for: Quickly selecting properties within a defined area.

  1. Zoom in on the map until individual properties are clearly visible.

  2. Click the Rectangle Selection Tool at the top of the screen.

  3. Click and drag your mouse to draw a blue rectangle over the desired properties.

  4. Release your mouse to complete the selection.

Important:

  • The maximum selection size is 10 hectares.

  • If your selection exceeds this limit, the rectangle will turn red.

Selected properties will appear highlighted on the map.

2. Custom Shape Selection Tool

Best for: Selecting properties in irregular areas or along angled streets

  1. Zoom in on the map.

  2. Click the Custom Shape Selection Tool at the top of the screen.

  3. Click to place points around the properties you want to include.

  4. Complete the shape by clicking your starting point.

Important:

  • This tool also has a 10-hectare limit.

  • You’ll receive a notification if the selection exceeds the limit.

Selected properties will be highlighted on the map.

3. Selecting Strata Units

Best for: Working with multi-unit (strata) buildings

You can select strata units in two ways:

  • Use one of the selection tools above, or

  • Right-click directly on a strata building

A “Select Strata Parcels” window will appear.

From here you can:

  • Click Add All Selected to include all units

  • Open the unit list to select specific units

  • Use Select All / Deselect All or individual checkboxes

  • Add individual units using Add Property

Loading Data for Selected Properties

Once your properties are selected, you can load data for analysis:

  1. Open the Properties Table using the round button in the bottom-left corner of the map

    • This button also shows how many properties are selected

  2. Optional: You can set your desired Properties per page to 500 (top of results)

  3. Click Load Data

  4. Select the data sources you want to include

  5. Click Update

Exporting Your Data

After loading data for all selected properties:

  1. Export the table as a .csv/.kml file

  2. Open it in your preferred tool:

    • Excel

    • Google Sheets

    • Apple Numbers

Tip: You can also export to IBomb which is a visual presentation tool. You can find out more here

You’re All Set

With just a few steps, you can build a comprehensive dataset across multiple properties, saving significant time and effort.
