Follow the steps below to get started.

Turn On Land Use Layers

  1. Click the Layers icon (blue button) in the top-right corner of the map.

  2. Select the Land Use tab.

Available layers may include:

  • Zoning

  • Official Community Plans (OCP)

  • Neighbourhood Concept Plans (NCP)

  • Local Area Plans (LAP)

  • ALR

  • First Nations Parcels

These layers allow you to view planning boundaries and, where available, access additional information from the municipality.

If You Don’t See Land Use Options

If land use layers are not visible:

  • Zoom in on the map until the options appear

    • The magnifying glass next to the layer indicates you need to zoom. You can either do this manually or click the 'Zoom'

    • The crossed out eye symbol indicates that this layer has no results in this specific area of the map for this layer.

Identify Land Use Designations

  1. Click anywhere on the map within your area of interest

  2. A pop-up will appear showing:

    • Zoning information

    • Land use designation + more

Learn More

If you’re wanting more information on plans/names/codes:

  • Click the blue link in the pop-up

  • This will take you to the relevant municipal webpage with detailed information about permitted uses and regulations
