In this article we'll show you all of the different ways in which you can select multiple properties at once and then load data on them.

To begin, we've outlined the three ways you can select multiple properties at once in AUTOPROP:

1. Selecting properties using the rectangle selection tool

Rather watch a video?

  • Zoom in on the map so you can clearly see individual properties.

  • Click on the "rectangle selection tool" in the top of your screen.

  • When the tool is selected, click and drag your mouse from one corner of a selection of properties to the opposite, creating a blue rectangle over top of your selection. Release the mouse button to finalize your selection. Note that the maximum selection size is 10ha, when the rectangle selection turns red it means you went over the 10ha limit.

  • The selected properties will show in a red highlight.

2. Selecting properties using the "custom shape" selection tool

Rather watch a video?

  • Zoom in on the map so you can clearly see individual properties.

  • Click on the "custom shape selection tool" on the top of your screen.

  • With this tool you can create a custom selection shape, useful for when properties/streets aren't North-South/West-East aligned.

  • Once you've activated the tool, begin by clicking points around the properties you would like to select. Finish the shape of your selection by clicking on the first point (large green point). There is a 10ha limit on the size of your selection for this tool as well. If you've drawn over the size limit, the system will notify you with a pop-up.

  • The selected properties will once again show in a red highlight.

3. Selecting (all) units within a strata building.

  • Use any of the above mentioned selection tools or right-click directly on top of a strata building.

  • A 'Select Strata Parcels' window will pop up. Here you can select all units within the strata by clicking on the green 'Add All Selected' button.

  • Alternatively, you can choose individual units within the strata by clicking on the 'Open' tab which will bring up all individual units in the strata. Use 'Select All/Deselect All' and the checkboxes to make your selections and then click 'Add All Selected'. Alternatively, you can click on 'Add property' to add the individual unit to your selections (no need to use the Add All Selected button in this case).

Next, we will show you how to load data on the properties you've selected:

Loading Data on Multiple Properties at Once

  • Once you've selected the properties you are interested in, you can begin loading data.

  • Open the Properties Table by clicking on the round button in the bottom left corner of the map. This button will also indicate how many properties you have selected.

  • Next click 'Load Data'.

  • A data sources menu will appear, allowing you to choose the data points you would like to load on the selected properties. Click 'Update' once you've chosen your data points.

  • Wait for the data to complete loading

  • Once you've completed loading data on all of your selected properties, you can export your table to a .csv file which will allow you to open it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers on Mac.

Voila! You have a full data base in a few clicks and you saved a ton of time!
