Access Land Use Layers on the Map

Learn how to quickly access and understand Land Use Layers with this short guide.

Wanting to learn more about land use designations in a region of interest?

Follow along with the instructions below to learn how to access zoning, NCPs, OCPs and more on AUTOPROP!

  1. Click on the Blue Layers Icon in the top right corner of your map view in AUTOPROP:

2. Select the Land Use tab:

3. NOTE: If you see the Land Use options as in the image below, zoom in on the map and they should become available:

 ***After zooming in, if you are still unable to access certain land use designations under the land use tab, it means that they do not exist/are not available on the region of the map that you are currently looking at***

4. To identify a land use plan, simply click on the section of the map you'd like to learn about. A bubble will appear, telling you what zone, or land use designation is in that area. 

*** If you are unfamiliar with a zone code, clink on the blue text link in the bubble - this will take you to the relevant page on the municipal website where you can educate yourself on what is permitted in that zone.

Et voila! You now know how to access Land Use Layers in AUTOPROP!
