What is MLS® Monitor?
MLS® Monitor is our upgrade feature that supports your efforts to stay in-the-know on listing activity in your areas of interest. Whether you're a residential agent, broker or appraiser, this powerful tool supports tracking MLS® listings with minimal effort.
How Does It Work?

1. Watched Areas
Choose specific areas on the map that matter to you through the sub-areas selection option. Maybe it's a neighborhood you're eyeing, a hot market, or a locale experiencing significant development. With MLS® Monitor, you're in control.
a) Select Area
First, click on the +New Notification button and choose Select an Area from a List.
In the next screen you can choose an Area and corresponding Sub-Area / Community
Click Add to the List to add the Sub-Area(s) to you your Watched Area.
You can select another Area and Sub-Area(s) if you wish. If you are done selecting areas, click on Continue to move to the next step.
b). Draw a Boundary:
Want to focus on a custom-shaped region? Use our Draw a Boundary tool to outline the exact boundaries you're interested in.
Click on the + New Notifications button and select Draw a Boundary
2. Notification Types
Once you've set your watched areas, turn on tracking. Here's where the magic happens. MLS® Monitor lets you filter the tracking of listings based on various criteria:
- Listing Status
- Property Class and Type
- Zone Code
- Bedrooms and Bathrooms
- Year Built
- Floor Area and Lot Size, and so much more.
In this next step you can first name your Watched Area. Type in a descriptive name which you can easily recognize, for example "Burnaby North - New and Sold"
Next you can set your listing search criteria.
Select the MLS® Listings checkbox and enter in your search criteria. In this example we want to receive notifications on any New and Sold Single Family listings in our Watched Area under $2.5million. So we're setting New (Active) and Sold under the Status, House/Single Family under the Property Type and a max price of 2,500,000.
Click Save & Preview to save your Watched Area.
3. Viewing Notifications
Notifications on Watched Areas are delivered daily in two places, through the email and in-app in AUTOPROP.
Email Notifications
Notification emails are sent out on a daily basis with the latest listings and/or listing changes within your Watched Areas. From the email you can link directly to the Watched Areas dashboard in AUTOPROP to explore the listings further.
In App-Notifications
On your AUTOPROP account you can also view your latest notifications on your Watched Areas, through the notification bell button in the top right. Click the notification bell (which also indicates how many unread notifications are available) and your new notifications will show.
Viewing Listings
Once you click on a notification in a notification email, or in-app it will open up your Watched Area showing a table with the latest listings and changes.
Yellow listings are new listings, whereas white listings are older listings.
Click on the address to view full listing details
The Crosshairs button will drop a pin on the map of the listings location.
Click Customize Columns to select and organize the data in the table
Select listings by checking the checkbox, then you can click the Select on Map button to select the properties on the map, or click on Export to CSV to download a CSV (Excel) file.
Notifications on a Watched Area run for 365 days, if you'd like to extend this period, you can click on Renew at any time.
Do you need to change your search criteria or adjust the (drawn) area? Click on the Adjust button and follow the prompts.
Click the Criteria tab to view your Watched Area boundaries, or Areas and Sub-Areas, and your search criteria / notification types.
